I am Cal Gaudette from the 6th District from Georgia and I do not support the auto industry bailout. I think a bailout is ridiculous for such large companies. We are talking about the biggest auto makers in the world. They will obviously be able to come back. If not, they then can declare bankruptcy. If that happens they will not have to pay anyone money, in which they owe them. They will also get out of obligation contracts they have made with unions. Like the well known job bank programs in which fired workers, get paid to work. This will help them rise back up. They do no need $25 billion. When they have done poorly in the past, they have always come back. Why wouldn’t they now? I find it ridiculous and unnecessary to pay them such a ridiculous amount. The interest rate is way too high for a bailout to fix this problem. If they are really in such trouble they should sell all the frivolous toys that they must have. They should cut their salaries. Another stimulus check shouldn't even be thought about. We owe too much money now to our allies! We haven’t any money to pay the auto industry.
